Pro Tip #2: Safety First!

Perhaps the most important project you can undertake is safety. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Follow these guidelines during your DIY projects:

1. Wear safety glasses. You can replace parts on a machine but you can not replace your eyes. Protect them.

2. Know your limits and the limits of your tools. Never try to force a tool to do something it wasn't designed to do. You may end up damaging your tools or seriously injuring yourself.

3. Keep your mobile phone handy. If you were to injure yourself, the quicker you can get help, the better.

4. Keep yourself contained. Watch for loose clothing and long hair around moving machinery and tools.
