Subproject: Rook

Here is the Rook. Done the same method as all of the other cylindrical pieces with some detailing of the crown. Here is my initial blender mock up:



I forgot to photograph the step of making the castle turrets, But they show up nicely in the final photo. It was done by boring 3/8 of an inch down into the castle head and the using a 3/16" end mill to carve out the turrets. Here is the final outcome:
